Wouldn't you like to go back in time and meet your great-grandparents? That's what happens to Annie. She finds out who she was named for and the story of her ancestor's lives. The historical part of this (set in 1891) was interesting and probably authentic. Once I started this book I was hooked and I don't normally read time travel books.If you are looking for a good solid read, try this one, I don't think you'll be disappointed! It has a little romance, history and a good story that will have you guessing how/if they can return to the present.

Loved it, but I wish there were more
This book is about time travel. I thought it was a little weird. The sex scenes were too tame. I prefer a love story with a little more graphic action.
I enjoyed the story but would have liked to know what happened to the stock Luke purchased and info on the schoolhouse...and maybe a little more on the new development project. Good time travel story.
This story had some interesting elements to it. I liked the pace and the plot wasn't too thin. I wish that we had seen some more character development, but the length of the story made it an easy read, and the storyline kept my interest. Worth a read.
It is an entertaining read but nothing spectacular. There were some interesting parts about time travel but all in all it was a condensed story that could have been really nice if it had been flushed out into a longer story with more detail given to characters. A little more tension between characters would have made it more exciting. I find though with many romances its a given that the romance is happening so the tension that occurs before the romance starts is usually lacking.
This story was unexpected. I didn't have high hopes for this book and was surprised with it. While there are a few grammatical errors which should have been caught by a good editor, the story is pretty well-written. I just couldn't buy the idea that two people just randomly show up somewhere and people aren't suspicious. Maybe in the old times such a thing happened but I'm not sold. Also, I thought women were not that easily able to leave with men without a chaperone? Or is this the "enlightened" times? All in all, it was an interesting read but nothing memorable.
Chose this from a recommendation of a friend; I've never heard of or read from this author before so I had no expectations. The story is really good, and keeps a good pace. I liked the characters a lot and the way they come to their friendship. However, I was pretty surprised at the random, very explicit love scene in the middle of the book. It was very unexpected and disappointing. I normally will throw down a book when I find such a scene but did finish this one - that being said, it alone will keep me from reading another book from the author. I prefer a good story and leaving the intimate parts to imagination. If that doesn't bother you, you'll probably enjoy the book.
